Every time I run a blank check I get the "Device is NOT empty" error even though I've tried 3 different 2732a eproms and the 27c32 that came with the programmer. I left three of them in direct sunlight for two hours and still get this error message.

Attempts to program also fail. Any suggestions?

The Enhanced willem programmer does not support 2732 and 27C32 EPROMs.

If you are using Dual power willem, then the jumper set need to be confirmed.

I'm using the Dual Power unit which specifically says it can program 2732 and 27C32 eproms. I believe my problem may be that I thought that the eproms could be erased by a few hours in the sun. I have since learned that it would take several weeks of sunlight to completely erase them. Plus, I may have fried the 27C32 when I tried it because the jumpers were still set for the 2732's higher vpp voltage. Live and learn, I guess.

Forget what I just said. According to the buffer screen, my 2732's ARE empty (all FF's). Somthing els seems to be the problem. I tried setting the vpp at 25v but get the same result: "Device NOT empty" when I do the blank check. Any ideas?

Good try. Yes, it is possible to erase the EPROMs by sun light. But a completed erase all data in EPROM to 0xFF may take two years in sun light(not included raining days). A few weeks only make the data read un-stable. Indeed, you need a UV eraser to erase EPROMs.

Also, always do a blank check after chip been erased you believe. And do a blank check before the write operation. If the software shows not empty, then you need do the erase again.
