Real novice here. I have been using a GQ-4 to program firmware for vending machines. Recently had the need to program an AT89C51RC-24U (PLCC44 package) which I have never done. My programmer said I needed an ADP-015, which I didn't have. Went online and purchased one, and while I was at it purchased a GQ-4X4. Was playing around with the new programmer and chose the AT89C51RC from the list, but it says it doesn't need an adaptor. I would have assumed that they would have put the information from older units into the newer units, or is it that this new programmer does not support this chip. Thanks for any input and your time.

Looking at the datasheet of the chip and ADP-15 on the site, I can only assume that the company has incorporated the hardware from ADP-15 into the GQ-4X4 thereby no longer requiring ADP-15.
