I just got my PRG-017 USB PIC programmer 2 days ago which I had bought from Ebay.
So it did not come with CD-Rom

Can you tell me if there is any instruction to setup the USB PIC Programmer?

I have download and install the PL2303 USB-serial driver from
http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/mcumall_download.asp
And is able to see that the USB PIC programmer
is connected to my Serial Port 5
(Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM5))

But I am not sure what are software to install to start to program my PIC.

I have tried with WinPic800 (v 3.63c), but not sure what to select for the Hardware Settings

Please advice, thanks.

There should be a download link for the USB PIC programmer on its package. If it is not there, please contact support@mcumall.com for the download link.

The WinPic800 is not for the USB PIC programmer.

As long as you got the correct software, you shoulde be able to use it easily. There are no much setup on the programemr and software.
You only need to set your COM5 in the software.
