I have a serial enhanced JDM programmer and today I try to use the ICSP connector on my new project. I am using a 16F88 pic with ICprog software and with the five ICSP cables connected to it’s respective pins I can program the pic perfectly but I can’t read it. Once I try to read it the pic gets erased. Please advice.

Thank you ZLM for your interest but no, the chip code protect bit is off. As a matter of fact, I can read, erase and re-program the chip on the zif socket but not when I connected it thought the ICSP. I have checked the voltages in every pin while reading or programming and they are good. I have also another very simple programmer with ICSP connector and it’s the one I am using now with the same pic. Please, help.
