I received my GQ-4X about a week ago and I've not been able to make it work.
The USBprog.exe freezes up and the screen stays on "Initializing please remove the chip from ZIF socket ..... reconnect the programmer if needed"

I know for sure that the drivers were installed properly.
I have tried on Vista, windows 7, and XP with the same results.

I'm not able to close the program unless I disconnect the programmer or restart my computer.

Does any one knows a way to solve this, I really need to program a couple of chips by the end of next week.

Thank You for any help you can provide me with.

It seems you already tried on different computer, and different USB cable.

If this is the case, then your programmer maybe malfunction due to some reason. You need to send it back for replacement.
