Hi
I have tried to erase this chip 93S46 made by ST but I get a error message on GQ-4X programmer: "this chip can't be erased or does not need to be erased "
I can program new files to this chip OK

to erase it and make it blank, do. Need special tools ?

Thanks

I just looked at the file i saved, and the size of it is 0 bytes, which is strange because i saved it after reading and seeing the data on buffer, i don't know what is going on...

Hi ZLM
What i mean is:
if i read a chip, for example 93S46 and save the data as bin file on my hard drive and name it ABC
Later, if i open and browse the file, nothing comes up on the buffer

Can you help please?

Thanks

Hi ZLM
Thanks again for your help
I did that, and it worked, the chip is now blank

Afterwards, i wanted to open the file that i saved on my hard drive, the bin file i read from the chip before deleting, but it is not doing anything
if i click on "open", then browse for the file and click ok, it does not come up on the buffer
Other files do come up ok

Any ideas please how to fix this ?

Thanks
