I get my QG-4X programmer yesterday, instal it,detect Hardware, everythings good, but when I try to read AM29f010 PLCC32 did not recognize ID (Device ID - FFFF, Manufacter - not in library, Type - unknown device. If I ignore that and go on with reading - it reads the chip but not whole memmory, in facts reads 1/4 4 times ( I noticed that after I compare original .bin file with those one I red. Tell what I should do? I buy this programmer especially for reading AM29F010.
Thank you :)

Late tonight I found the problem: it was short-circuited two pins on XILINX chip. After I solved the problem, GQ-4X start to work. Read ID chips and the code inaside perfectly.
ZLM, make testing on hardware before sell it, it's not good for me or anyone else to repair your product by yourself.

Best wishes Nikolay Dobrev

I checked all the connections - it's good.Is there a problem if there is no external power supply/scriptdapter?

It seems something to do with the chip and adapter.

Do not push the chip too deep in the PLCC32 socket. Let the chip surface be same as socket surface.
If it still deos not work, use multimeter to check the chip pin contacting with the PLCC32 socket.

Make sure contact is good between chip and adapter. Have been there multiple times. Clean with some contact cleaner or ethanol.
