Hi,
at first greetings to all forum-members from germany.

My problem:
I bought a Top2048 to read and write 59C11.
Today the Top2048 arrived and it works fine, only when i choose the type 59c11 serial Eeprom nothing happens (no window for read/write).
I tried software version 1.72, 1.63, 1.50, 1.39

regards
Frank

That's strange. The chip should be compatible with 93CXX.
Anyway, you got it worked on Willem programmer.

Hello,
i got bad news.
The manufacturer says the 59c11 is to old and deleted the item in the new Version 1.73 of TopWin. Funny is, that they leave the entry for the NM59c11 as a dummy.
Also i try to program 93c46 in 16 Bit mode. It does not work.
I bought a Willem-Programmer. Both type of serial EEPROM are working fine.

regards
Frank

RDY/BUSY pin on 59C11 is outpu pin, so, you can ignor that pin.

The AT93C46 has the ORG pin. So, try AT93C46 (both 8 or 16 bit mode).

Hi usb,
thanks for your answer. Do you try it with your TOPXXXX ?
I looked in the datasheets for 59c11 and 93C46 and found that the 59c11 have two additional pins (ORG and RDY/BUSY).
The ORG pin is to switch the Organisation of the 59c11 (128x8 or 64x16). The 93c46 is available in different organsations (A,B,C,AA..)
I will try it with the 93c46 mode, but not with my originals.
I get new 59c11 in the next days.

regards
Frank

It seems the software does not configed for this chip.

Anyway, the 59C11 maybe compatible with 93C46 8bit or 16 bit mode.

Try that.
