hi, I have old pc with win98, installing xp is slow, how it is possible to start the software 4.02 for gq-4x (it installs but does not start)?

I forgot: When you install the version 3.03 with your pach,insert to usb port the gq-4x, the device wants the files ezusb.sys and gqw2k.inf but is not automatic install, must search manually!!!
you create a new automatic installation package for wme with updated device.txt! |

All those chips are supported good in Re3.03. No update needed.
We can create a WinME installation file to accept the latest devices.txt. |

I use 28f010, 29f010, 27f010, 95c56,95080,93s66,24c04, 24c02,27sf512,28f200,29f200,29f400,29f800 ecc. for car chip tuning: you what advice for this devices?
you can create 2 separate package for install on WME and xp separate but update!

Most of them you can just place in the devices.txt, but some deveices need latest version of software. Such as PIC18FXXX.
What devaices you needed run on your WinME? |

ok!!!! in wme, I have istall 3.03, insert your patch in the program, it work with gq-4x very well!
for new IC devices (you have solved problems on this forum) I copy the devices.txt from version 4.02 (to directory 3.03) or you create new package to install on WME?

Sorry. I just can not find a WinME machine.
Can you try this patch?
http://www.mcumall.com/download/TrueUSBWillem/USBPrg3.03Win98MEPatch.exe
Install the Re3.03 software, and then copy this patch into application directory. You may rename it to overwrite the original version. |

the version 2.07 start on win98/me but not work with gq-4x, the version 1.15 have more error with device.txt but start on win98/me, the version 3.03 start on win98/me, only version 4.01 or 4.02 not start!!!!

Not sure why, Can you try very early version software?

Those old versions do not work on GQ-4X. But you can try to see if those versions can start on your Win98. So that we can get some clues. |

I have install v3.03 on winme start ok, but not working with gq-4x, hardware ok but it not worked.
The problem is in the file usbprg.exe on the version 4.02!!!!!!

hi zlm, I have install sw4.02 on winme but the software not start, the usb driver is v1.3
On xp if you without device connected, start the program is ok,it part; on W98 and WinME not start never, the pc has usb ports on the motherboard.
how can I solve?

The software tested on Win98SE (Windows 98 Second Edition). If your Windows is Win98 and it is not Win98SE, then make sure your windows supported USB devices. If so, then it should be OK for Re4.02
You do not need to install the USB driver separately. The USB driver is automatically installed when you installing the software.
Confirm your USB driver 1.0 is loaded correctly.
Then start the software.
What is your exact error message you got? |
