i have a China Motherboard ( here china means that this Motherboard is imported by a local company with his name and W/O any motherboard model no. from china's cheap manufacturers)and i want to copy this mobo's BIOS coz i can't find the BIOS on net if i need it in future.But when i desoldered the SOIC chip from MOBO & read the Part no. as 25Q80.as we know it's a Winbond series so i select the 25Q80 Part no. in the Program.but when i check the ID it says it's a Apple Computer's CHIP.
Even the ID Check is Failed But it read's & Verify the Chip.but i don't have the guts to re-write it coz it's a new MB of Costumer and if anything goes BAD then i have to give him a NEW Mobo.
So after a Long Story my Q is that
- is USBProg read the chip ok
- will it works if i write it back on the chip
- can i add this chip in the device list ? If YES then HOW...

ok, the DUMP / Backup of above said Chip - Apple Computer, Works Perfect, i used a diff ROM Chip From EON Series with Part no. EN25F80 to test the Backup file.i don't use the APPLE Chip ,Which i think is a Duplicate of WINBOND's 25Q80 Series, Coz if something goes wrong then i will have a good & Working Backup Chip, But my Experiment works perfact 'coz EN25F80 Series is also Eqv. of Winbond 25Q80 Series.
In my language Punjabi we say it , chal gaya ta teer nahi ta tuka e sahi, or i Make a JUGARD to test the DUMP File
