There is not a setting in the programmer for the AM29F080B-120EC chip. I tried all of the other 29f080 settings and nothing seemed to work. What line of code would I need to add for this? Also using it on the GQ-4X with the ADP-077 Adapter. Thanks

You can use regular TSOP40-DIP32 adapter. It should work.
You can use ADP-082 + ADP-077

The problem is, there is not an option for the chip in the programmer software. There is a generic am29f080, and a am29f080b*PSOP44. My chip is 40 pin, with B at the end.

the AM29F080B is a common chip and it should be supported without problem. The TSOP40 adapter is only remapping pins into DIP32. I fyou can confirm the problem is the software algorithm, then a test chip is needed to findout the problem.

IF you can not get the chip ID correctly, then I suspect all your chips.

I bought 10, and all do the same. Yes they are 40's. All of the other tsop40's work fine.

If your chip is TSOP40 chip, then check your chip position in TSOP48 ZIF. The chip should in upper part of the ZIP, the pin 1 should at the top left corner. The voltage jumper on 5V position.

Also, make sure your chip is a good chip.
