I have an eprom M93C56.
read ok
write ok
verify failed

which may be the problem?

I recommend you to remove the chip from PCB and put it in the adapter to read and write.

That way is the standard programming way.

Tried both ways. Reads and writes but verifiy gives error.

I tried 8 bit and 16. Is there a way to know which is the correct?

Same here. I'm usng 3M clip with sw v4.01. Should I upgrade to the latest sw?

I tried different speeds and devices (8 and 16 bits) but no luck.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. I'm using 3M soic8 clip. I used this clip for other chips and it worked fine.

Please help.

What adapter you used?
Check pin contact.
