Hi, new here. Im trying to program a M27c801 with my new GQ-4x4 and when i start the program, it acts as if a chip is already loaded when there is nothing in the slot yet. Is this normal?

Also, i bought the ADP-054 adapter. If i am writing a 8mb snes game. Which socket do I use? I do not have the adapter connected when I start the program.

Please help!

It is normal. The programmer does not know if you pleased the chip or not. Unless you checked the Check ID option from software right panel.

The M27C801 does not need the adapter.
