Hello buddies, I'm glad I found a useful forum like this. I have been a freelance writer for some years now but I'm deciding to learn a new skill and what comes to mind first was programming. I'll really like to seek advice from the experience guys here. What would be my first step in the programming world? What would you recommend that I start with? I'm suffering from information overload right now so I really need a specific place to start from.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

A good starting point would be to acquire a programmer and chips.
