I have the Willem Enhanced USB with some chip part numbers scratched off.

What im trying to do is program 27c801 EPROM.

I have everything connected correctly and a hardware test tests OK!

I have the chip in the socket, grooved edge facing to the top of the programmer board.

Im in PCB3 mode with the correct chip type selected as DEVICE.

I have set the jumper settings the same as the picture (BUT, the picture DIP switches are reversed.. mine are the other way round!!)

I have tried BOTH ways and neither produces a chip that has been written correctly.

I wrote one chip IM NOT SURE HOW.. and its incorrect.

Sometimes I get an error message "Error at 0x000000 Chip = 0x00 Buffer = 0x4c

When I "read" the chip... its blank!

I'm using Willem Eprom software 0.97ja

Am I doing something wrong???

Ok I found a post on another website and ive got it to program I think!

I had to set the DIP switches to the "Willem" setting picture.

I had to put jumper over pins 6+7 on the 8 pin block to the left of the DIP switches.

Programmed, verified OK

Does anyone have any tips for programming 16bit 27c4096as those are OTP and I dont want to mess them up!

27C4096 need a 16bit EPROM adapter.
The software should stay in PCB3B and no special setting.

The OTP device only can be read since you can not erase it.
