Is there any chance you could make the app parse 2 device.txt files?

i.e. have the one supplied with the app as devices.txt and have like customdevices.txt?

then i can keep stuff i add in the custom one and just keep replacing the devices.txt with new versions as they come out

Yes. This is a good point. Will be implemented in the future software release.

I, too, am interested in being able to send more than one file to be programmed into an EPROM. I have an operating system file, a program file, and a customer customization file. All are *.HEX files, with the proper address, referenced to zero, within the EPROM to be programmed. Is this going to be possible? Or, would I have to combine the three (or more) .HEX files into a single file to send to your programmer?

Please let me know, as we are looking to buy at least two programmers.

Basically you do not need to combine them. Just open each file and do write. Repeat "open and then write" three times.

Make sure those file data address are not overlap.

Try this beta patch:
<old link removed>

The customdevices.txt is not included, you need to create it yourself.

www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki

basically its editable by anyone, people could post full page "articles" for a certain chip (stuff like the SST39VF080 info is a good one).

i started one for altbinz.net and then gave them the database once it was up and running

the default should be fine, just install the package they offer on the site above, then anyone can edit it.

if someone deletes something, you can always roll back anyones changes.

Checked our web server and found it does not support PHP5. We need to upgrade the server first.

can i recommend you include a blank customdevices.txt with the default installation?

otherwise without this post no one would know it exists, at least with a blank file people would know
