Hello all!

I have had the 4x for many years, now have the 4x4. I still cannot read this M93C56-6. I sent this data sheet (https://www.jameco.com/Jameco/Products/ProdDS/1393601.pdf) to mcumall and tried emailing but no help. I’ve tried a 9V external ps and nothing. It blank checks ok, which it shouldn’t. I removed the chip to attempt reading. Pls pls pls help. Tons and tons of people are counting on me being able to read this.

Josh

I have tried every 93c56, 35080, 95080, all of them essentially. VPP not set doesn’t matter right?

Use the "Search Device for" and enter 93C56 look if any of those work. Also test your adapter and maybe try a lower speed.

It’s all good I’m just going to invest in more programmers. 2 down, 3 to go?

Those devices are not particularly difficult to read or program if it doesn't work well check your adapter or use some known good chips.
