if blankcheck failed, then the erase is fail.

If the chip is locked, then you need to unloack the chip before write it.

Hi guys, I'm new here.
Bumping on this old thread as I'm having a similar issue
Trying to program a MX29LV160TM with TOP 3100.
The program seems to be writing upon verifying the chip is still blank.
Understand from above that the eeprom could be locked/protected. Is there a way to unlock the chip from topwin7?

Thanks,
Jerome

Thanks for the information about new chip.
I have tried a bunch of new chips but still having the same issue.
Even tried 2 different SOP44/DIP40 adapters.
The chip is recognized properly but the data programmed passes thru.
I've been using this programmer to burn regular Eprom mainly with no problem. I

Managed to program successfully a MX29F800TMC-90 with TOP3100.
The programmer might just not be compatible with MX29LV160TM.
