I've got a new enhanced jdm programmer and 16F648A chip. This thing is on drugs :) Tried every piece of software I can get my hands on, and not able to successfully write a chip. Using external 12v for programming to eliminate low voltage serial port issues. So the short is - I run an erase, and try to blank verify, and it mostly comes back not blank. I try to write something, and it comes back failing verification. Can somebody please tell me how to get this working?

check your configuration bit. If you want to verified it after write, then the code protect bit should be OFF.

I found out the chip was originally programmed HVP. If that matters.
