Have what I think is a PCB3b that was working fine on epr097ja software. I burned a few chips, read a few etc. then the next time I pull it out it wont respond to the software. I noticed that when I plug the parallel cable in, the yellow vcc light no longer lights up like it did before. When I plug in the 12v supply, all the leds light up and the transistor next to the usb gets crazy hot. It got hot before in process of burning, but not just on standby. I think a component may have failed. Any others have this happen? I tried using different computer with a parallel to see if the vcc would come on, but nothing. Thanks for the insight!

Your programmer may have some problem. You need to do a selftesting.
