i have a top2004 programmer.when i insert a hex file and a pic chip the configuration is wrong or there is not exist.if anybody knows something please help

Same problem on my site, must always set the config bits, the TopWin never read config from hex, as well the location of the EEprom, all different programmers it NO problem except this one I thing I wasted money.

How do you know the configuration is wrong? more detailed info needed.
