I purchased one of your Enhanced JDM units similar to this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Enhanced-JDM-PIC-programmer-4-Microchip-12F629-New-V2_W0QQitemZ310040238073QQihZ021QQcategoryZ1504QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD4VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m124

This unit has the 3 sockets in two rows with silk screened indicators for proper chip placement.

What ZIF socket should I buy? and will the single ZIF socket allow me to program all the various chips supported? or will I have to remove it and insert the chip in the old sockets again depending on pin count?

The V2 version JDM is not designed to solder a ZIF socket. If you replace the DIP by a 40 pin ZIF, then only 40 pin chips are able to be programmed.
