Posted - 07/14/2005 : 15:30:05 This microcontroller has EPROM memory. So it has a little window at the top that I can use to shine ultraviolet light and erase it's contents. |

Posted - 07/14/2005 : 14:31:23 The PIC17CXXXX I believe is OTP type of microcontroller. (One Time Programmable only). To study PIC microcontroller, you may need get a flash type of microcontroller. Such as PIC16F87XXX, those flash based microcontroller you can program as many time as you want. |

Posted - 07/14/2005 : 11:02:24 Ol thanks for replying. I just got the model of microcontroller I stated above for my birthday, and want to get started with microcontroller programming. The programmers you can get where I live are over 600 dollars!!
So I hope you can support the PIC71C42A soon enough :) |
