I got some difficulty to program a AT29c256 with my new willem dual power programmer, and I wanted to know if the problem was my burner.

So I test my burner, here it's my result:

I just check one pin at a time, for example:

Set DIP switch as shown in the pictures...

1-VPP: 15,6V (VPP LED is ON)
2-A16: OV
3-A15: 2,4V
22-CE: 4,7V
26-A9: 3,7V (I think this is normal: A9 (pin 26) is lower because of the erase circuit,3..4 volt)
29-A14: 0V
30-A17: 0V
31-A18: 0V
32-VCC: 6,2V (VCC Led is ON)

any other pin is 5,4V

So I think there is some problem with my burner, don't you think?

Thanks

For burn AT29C256 ... with Enhanced Willem ...

I must select PCB3 or Willem in the Software "Willem Eprom" ???

Just noticed in your software setting you posted is in "Willem" mode.

The software MUST select the "PCB3" mod. See here:

Reffer to above picture.

I suspect one of the address chip(A1,A2,A3) been damaged since you could not detect the voltage on the address pin. Those three chips are same and can be swapped around between them. For the AT29C256 chip, only position A1, and position A2 been used. So, there will be a chance of working if only one of them been damaged.

The software need to close and re-start again after swapped the chip A1,A2,A3. So, please switch the chip arround between A1,A2 and A3.

If you still could not get the voltage, then you need return the programmer for the service or exchange.
