Posted - 09/21/2005 : 21:37:40 I have a new top2005 programmer and I'm having problems reading the eproms.
I have pre-programmed tms27c020 chips but when I go to read them the programmer reads then as FF on the entire chip.
Is there something I'm missing? Or do I have a defective unit?

Posted - 11/28/2005 : 14:41:04 The TOP2005 does not support 16 bit EPROMs, such as 27C1024,27C4096. It is hardware limitation. |

Posted - 11/26/2005 : 07:21:42 The current level is 6. I've also tested it on another computer with the same problem. I sent it back to the guy I bought it from on ebay.
Also I noticed that there is no setting for a HN27C4096. Is this a software limitation or hardware?

Posted - 11/25/2005 : 08:34:16 Check the USB current level. It should be at least at level 5 or above. By the way, where you send the programmer and repaired? You may need to contactv them again. |

Posted - 11/22/2005 : 18:53:29 Well my repaired Programmer read eproms fine but does not write. I have tried changing the speed and it doesn't fix it. I have tried other computers same problem.
Anything I have missed?

Posted - 11/21/2005 : 14:26:35 Update: Turns out that my unit was bad, They quickly repaired the unit and sent it back.
Now I can read the tms27c020 chip fine. I'm having problems writing the data back on to another chip "AM27C020 1200C" I verify that the chip is blank, It starts to write then gives an error. I tried slower speeds aswell.
Your help would be appreciated.
