Hello
I have top 853 eprom programmer.
I'm using topwin ver 6.08 with windows vista.
When I try burn the SST27SF512 I did take an error.
But I can read and erase with free of problem.
Can anyone help me for this subject ?

i have almost the same problem but open it to check and tehere were any drysolder but i was getting that error thats still nowthere, but just when writtong i need to chose another similar device to write in it and i can write but with the chip as sst27sf512 i cant write just read and blank erase but not write now im writting as a ??? 27c512 hahah and it just works just need to go to sst27sf512 to erasethe chips and the change hahaha thts bad but it works for mee

i suspect you have a couple of dry solder joints at the vpp pin
many people complain about this and its worthwhile opening it up
and checking over it

other than this there is no reason why it wont work with these settings
have you tried other ic's like this before

i do note that your device requires a slightly different programming technique to the others in the same family
you could try with an older version of there software also

I added vcc=5000,dly=3 and reboot.But when I try burning I did take Write...Error at:00000:(FF)message

there apps are stupid
locate this branch in the device853.lst file
right click it and choose edit
within the normaly C:\Top\Topwin6 folder
if you dont set this way the vcc level
strange things happen
the chinese dont make fireworks for nothing
added ,vcc=5000 for 5v and dly=3 for 1ms spool delay

disconnect all other usb stuff reboot then plug in the programmer

then reboot
windows is crap at having to adjust to badly written jongo drivers like this programmer's reuse

you may find your programmer has some dry joints or bad solders
it can work for some and not many others
and some familys ground pins are used for other signals within other chips families

this has been reported by other members
