please guide TOP2049 programmer that can be used for programming Microchip PIC18F258-I/SO (SOIC28) ?

I am quite happy now can read and write PIC18F258-I/SO (case SOIC).

Position and function of PIC18F258 pin DIP and SOIC are exactly the same.

yes, it is in the list of devices as "MICROCHIP PIC18F258" with 28 pins.As there is no pinout difference between pdip and soic - both 28 pins - top2049 should work.
