I am trying to burn a 27C010 32pin eprom, and in the program I keep on getting this

I have a 12v PSU connected and all that so it cant be the power, and I have the device securely connected, and the eprom is snug in the zif socket. The jumpers are set right and all that. I do not know what is wrong.

Ok, the Parallel port needed to be switched to EPP and it now writes chips. But I have normal eproms and it has no trouble writing to the same chip, I don't know if its burning right

I tracked down an old Toshiba laptop running Windows 98 and installed the software, the hardware checksout except for the VPP light. I try to burn a chip (27C010) and it gives me this error message

Error at 0x00000A Chip= 0x00 buffer 0xFF

I have the hacked .dll to allow it to work on W7 64Bit. It starts up fine. I am going to do a test, I have a TSOP40 Adapter, and I will try and write a TSOP40 chip using the adapter.

I am running the driver in compatibility mode, on top of that I used it in Windows 7s XP mode thing, and got the same result.

check the confirm the driver is installed. The driver only works WinXP or earlier version windows. Also, check the data cable is a good and correct.

The only light that wont power on on the burner is the VPP, the others light up and the power light is Orange.

I just noticed on the thing, ICSP is in red lettering and none of the other chips have that that I have checked. Am I missing something?
