Hello all, glad to join!
I am trying to read and copy a 27C1024 EPROM.

I have used the Willem PCB5.0C many times before for 27C512 and 27C256 with no problem. I had to get the ADP-054 adapter to use 40 and 42pin DIP chips. But no matter what I do I cant get it to work. When I select the chip it tells me I need the 16BIT DIP 40 adapter. I am not sure if it is supposed to recognize the adapter on its own or not. Usually it shows a pic of the board and various settings on the left. Any thoughts? I am stuck and in a bind as I need to get these chips out the door.

Thanks!

So when I put the adapter on, what are the jumper settings supposed to be. I did the dip settings but the chips are not reading and blank checking.

The PCB5.0 does not check the adapter. So, the adapter in software should be resented always.
