I have a dual power unit and using the USB to power the device. I am successful on erase and reads but fails on programming, I never fail on the same memory address and the average programming is between 2% and 13% (both am29f040 and am29f010).

I am also running it from a old Laptop, Could it be my power source (USB port on Laptop). If so what type of power supply should I be shopping for?
