Hello
I had a top 2004 eprommer. It worked fine programming eproms and such for a few months but now its giving this message: "trouble pin contact: 21" and the eprommer wont work right even with the error messages turned off. The wipers on the zif have been checked and they are all closing tightly against the legs of the eproms. What could be causing this. I am using the up to date software and a decent usb cable.

Yeah well there is nothing I can do to get past it. If I turn off the error message it reads eproms but the info is corrupted. Where can i send it to get it fixed and any idea how much it would cost or if its even worth it? Thanks

The TOP2004's ZIF socket should be soldered on the PCB, so it should not have contact issue. Make sure the ZIF's pin 21 is clean. If the error message continue on every different chips, then your programmer may need a check service or repair.
