| Wondering when there will be a 5X universal programmer with a 40 pin zif. I need one for NAND, but I need SPI too. I can't get both. |

Yes. GQ-5X universal will supports more chips than GQ-4X and even more flexible.
You can get both NAND and SPI top modules at same time. Then you have NAND and SPI programmer at same time using a single base. |

Sure. The GQ-5X Universal Programmer still accepts all adapters from old parallel Willem programmer and GQ-4X. Even more, the GQ-5X Universal also accepts other standard adapters from market or other brand programmer.
The software may be able to support both GQ-4X and GQ-5X Universal at same for a multitasking work.

I now own a GQ-5X SPI. I am wondering what is the date when you expect to release the GQ-5X Universal? Also what addapter will I need to allow my 5X SPI to use my ADP-054 adapter?

| ADP-054 does not work with GQ-5X SPI. It will work with GQ-5X Universal. MCUmall is working on GQ-5X Universal, but do not have exact release date since there are more work need to be done. |

| Lets make sure we have this all straight. All your documentation I have read says that there is one base to which you change an adapter to convert a GQ-5X to either a SPI, NAND, or Universal. Your reply #4 above states that "GQ-5X Universal Programmer still accepts all adapters". Are these not true statements? Therefor there has to be an adapter to convert to a Universal version of GQ-5X. If this is false I need to return this programmer and purchase a GQ-4X that will work as advertised. |

Yes. The GQ-5X Universal Programmer accepts all old version Willem and GQ-4X adapters.
Your programmer is GQ-5X SPI. In order to change the programmer from SPI to Universal, an universal top module needed. But this module is not available yet. |

Yes.
The GQ-5X SPI has standard ZIF socket, you can use any standard adapters. Such as ADP-004, ADP-081, ADP-081A, ADP-098 etc.
