SST 39SF040 Bios Chips and the Willem Pro 4. I am a novice just starting to hopefully learn how to erase, copy and reprogram computer bios chips. In particular I want to know if I can find a user manual for my new Willem Pro 4 eprom burner and how to work with SST 39SF040 Bios Chips for my Sony VAIO FRV series laptops of which I have several. The photocopied user manual that came with my Pro 4 I find too brief and probably assumes a greater familiearity with the subject. The CD is equally confusing as it does not seem to tie up very well with the user manual. Can anyone please help with a few tips on how to get started with the Pro 4? Does the USB power cable supply sufficient power for the unit to perform all its functions? Thanks to anyone who can help??!! Please!

The USB power for BIOS chip should be enough.

Thankyou ZLM. I wonder if you can help me with my other questions? Or point me in a good direction from where I can progress?!! I've written to the Willem company but have received no response.
