I was programming a 18f4525 chip and was getting a notice of OK at 0xefea Bad at 0xffff failed at 0x0000 for a couple of times.

Now I have USB-PIC board connected and it's connected to COM4, but every time I try to read, write or anyhing else it comes up with
Checking for 18f4525 then
Error...
then a popup with:
The board is not responding
About to apply reset...
OK
When I press OK it says resetting and goes back to
USB-PIC board connected

Thanks in advance for any help

Just figured mine out.

There's a file in the USB IC Programmer directory
named pro.dat

I changed the name to pro1.dat so i could fix later if i had to.
It is the preference file for the programmer andmade me reset the COMM and the programmer name as in the beginning.
Now everything works again.

Thanks anyway
