Hello

I just bought an enhanced willem with the 16bit 40-42 dip adapter, it has not extra power supply plug, it just has USB and Parallel port input.

I can read all (27c1024, 27c160, 27c800, 27c000) eproms ok, but i can't write any of them. I ever have the same error : 0x000000 chip = 0xff or 0x00 and buffer 0x00 or 0xff It depends about the bin file i want to use.

Well, I used all the combinations i could do with the wires, the programmer, the adapter. I ever get an error.

I can read all of them, so I suppose the Willem works...

I'm really desperated.

If you can help me, please !!!

Use a 9v or 12v external power adapter to see if it works.

you can still use it by adding a small jumper between the vcc pin 32 and 28 on there tracks
when you want to program you can add 6.250 here from a small supply of 9vdc and using a three pin voltage regulator 5.1v and add some diodes to its ground pin to raise its voltage output to 6.2 {ie two diodes for 1.2v}{this is aok for reading also}

machine toshiba equium laptop usb only type
p5b asus main machine
thinking of adding dual lpt pci card
both used for top and lpt via usb where i can

old p2 programming grumbling tank with xp sp3 for true serial and lpt

all machines bios set to enable bios plug and play aware o/s and lpt spollers services and drivers removed
legacy detection enabled
