hey guys,

i just received my prg-017 in the mail and i tried to program my 12f683 chips and it wont write.

I open the program and select the 12f683 on the right bottom corner and place the chip accordingly. and when i load the hex file and click on program---i get the messaeg "the programmer does not recognize (12f683) processor. Continue anyway? I click yes and then i get the error "Received data error Apply reset"

i just went back and checkd the hex. the error starts from the EEPROM Data. because the error says good at 0x2b06 and bad at 0x000---where the EEPROM Data starts..

plz help

please help

thank you

If the programmer does not detect the chip, then there are must be someting wrong.

check if the on board 18 pin DIP controller not loose from socket.
Change a USB cable.
Try it on another computer.

If the problem same, then contact the support@mcumall.com for warranty.

Well, if the chip is very thing good, then the software should be able to talk to it with out any error message.
