hi i posted the same problem im having
this is driving me nuts

can someone help us please i need to get a good dump hex of a pic chip i have here

im using the willem programmer

the chip in question is a PIC 16F819

i load it up to the first buffer (is this correct)

then i save the file out as a hex

when i load it back in to reprogram the chip

i go into buffer and load it up the first one (is this correct)

once i click program full chip the green bar goes across
it goes to 70% and that it

after that it says config area programming

and does nothing else

can someone show me how to do and get a dump hex
and load it onto the other pic

another pic chip

thank you

Do verify to confirm if it is programmed correctly.

hello ZLM i did the chip verify confirm and it says the hex is ok

but i used the program you said ic prog older version.

this did a perfect dump of the chip

but came up error VERIFY FAILED ADRESS 0000H

when i tried to reprogram it

so i used willems programmer to burn the hex
and it worked

the only error in there program is that it does not come up done

it stays on and say programming pic config area
