Hey there!! I'm new here and this is my first message, so hello everyone ;)

First of all as the title suggests, I have a problem setting up a MX29L3211 to program it. As far as I know, it is a memory that requires a 3V supply voltage and that's how I set the jumper on the adapter but instead, the programmer's software tells me to set it to 5V. Hmmm..... is it saying truth or not?? Will it fry the chip if it's a lie?? Here's what I get when starting the program:

35.82 KB

Also, here's the photo of my set up adapter board:

86.58 KB

According to the programmer's log, should I set the J3 jumper to 5V?? By the way, have I inserted the chip into the adapter correctly?? Is the orientation correct?? Any kind of help & suggestions would be very appreciated!! Big thanks in advance!!

Yes. your jumpers chip location and direction are correct.
Set the J3 on 5V position. The software would adjust the voltage to 3V automatically.

If your chip is a good chip, then check the pin contacting until see if the software detect the chip by click the ID button.

Also, lower the software speed and see if it makes difference.
