Posted - 11/10/2007 : 05:33:27 Does anyone know where or how to get datasheet or cross reference for the NEC D23256AC EPROM ?
I suspect it is either:
1. speacial private labled chip to intimidate the average user from replacing it themselves (though it may have a published equivalent) Eg. NEC UPD27256
2. or maybe a custom chip created for the chip customer (???)
anyone have knowledge of these practices or can comment on the plausibility of my theories ?
if there is an equivalent chip, what method of investigation on the chip would i use to determine this ? is that possible ?
The EPROM is used by an Philips 8051 *romless* micro if that helps
Eg. how and what the chip lines are conected to other ICs

thanks for helpful ideas and replies, bitboy
