How does one determine the speed setting?

I have chosen several EPROMS and it is always at +2.

Is it automatically selected depending on device?

Or should user set speed depending on device?

If so how do you determine the speed setting?

Also, when should I check "double write"?

The default speed is set when selected device. However, user is able to set the speed if the default one not work well.

In most of case, the you may need to change the speed if the write/verify fail.
