Can someone please confirm this?
I'm trying to duplicate one Altera EPM7032 chip, and the GQ-4x4 selects the chip, but on read it says it's not loaded.....
"Data file not loaded in Buffer"

In another thread another person asked the same thing (Unable to Read) on a different Altera Complex Logic chip..... and was told that GQ-4x4 supports only Write, not Read or Verify....

Is this true?

If so, don't you think you should mention that in the JTAG section of the manual???

Thanks for replying...

Why would I provide you with support when you ignore all the help and answers you get?

I doubt anyone would make a huge manual to state everything that cant be done with something.

Then why isn't it in the latest manual?

And why via Phone Call, and Email was Full support indicated for the EPM 7032 chip with a ADP-097 adapter?

I suggest you update your manual, and Train the folks who answer the phones and reply to emails of this limitation....

You mean like the manual of a DVD player that doesn't say you can't record vinyl or a car's manual that doesn't state the car doesn't float or a boat manual that is silent on the fact it does not fly?

Probably because the chip is supported?

You should call back where you called and say so. Email might also work.

Read the chip. The chip that was installed was blank, new.
However—-
If I put no chip in I got same message! It’s not acting like it can read it.
Obviously until it’s read, it can’t be duplicated. But since no chip acts the same as
When a chip is installed, we are not talking security, we are talking programmer!!

Yes or no......

Can the GQ-4x4 set for EPM7032 Support reading a programmed chip, or,
is the GQ software support write only via JTAG?

If the answer is “No, GQ-4x4 Cannot read a programmed 7032”

How about updating the manual so everybody knows what limitations exist???

Note: Those "limitations", as you say, are part of an industry standard software.
