Holy thread resurrection, Batman!
Ah, but I'm getting extreeemely similar results with my Enhanced, bought in August 2007.
I'm trying to read an SST 37VF010 (PLCC) with 0.97ja. The chip reads fine, but it won't verify (I invariably get errors around 0x400ish).
I've also tried a 39VF010: it seems to `stutter' in chunks of four bytes.
I've tried this on two different machines (an HP Pavilion ze4420us and a Gigabyte K8VT890-9), each running both Windoze XP and Wine.
So I just tried the Test H/W tab and got the following results:
A0->A23 0xFFFFFF
=================
Voltages wrt pin 16 (Gnd) / V
1 24.4 * 10^-3 32 45.1 * 10^-3
2 4.90 31 3.81
3 3.305 30 3.349
4 4.90 29 4.90
5 4.92 28 4.38
6 4.91 27 4.90
7 4.91 26 3.308
8 4.91 25 3.303
9 4.91 24 6 * 10^-4
10 4.91 23 4.89
11 4.91 22 0
12 4.91
Pins 3 (A15), 30 (A17), 26 (A9), and 25 (A11) appear to be ~3.3 V.
Pin 31 (A18) is ~3.8 V.
Pin 28 (A13) is ~4.4 V.
I tried these manually:
Pin 24 (OE) gives 4.19 V; Pin 22 (CE) gives 4.31 V.
The data pins seem to write okay.
I'll try other parallel port settings, but assuming there's no joy there, should I try to repair it or just see if DL is still taking tradeins?
