im trying to reprogram MX29LV160CBTC-90G tsop48 chips (3)ive tried just about everything i can think of.i have an 8/16 bit adaptor and have tried setting the wires at address a19/ a19-a20/ and a19-a20-a21 also with and without external power to no avail.i can choose device load data file and read but every time i try to verify it fails at various addresses,i cannot get an id from the device and when try to erase it usually gets to about 98% before failing so therefore coresponding blank check fails. i would be gratefull for any help .

The chip does not need a external power source. The USB power is good enough.

Check followings:
1. Connect three address wire from adapter to programmer. A19, A20 and A21.
2. Place the chip in the TSOP socket with correct orientation. Pin 1 should be at the top-left.
3. The adapter voltage jumper should be on the 5V position. and chip selection jumper should be on 29FXX position.
4. Before doing anything else, the chip ID should be read correctly. If not, then check all pins are contacting good with the ZIF socket.
