Hi
Can someone tell me what settings I should be using to program AT49LV1614 chips?
I have the enhanced programmer with USB power and the three buttons to control voltage. I am using the willem 48tsop adaptor and 97ja software.
I have selected the 29lv160 device in the software and set the dips accordingly. The chips are ID'd correctly and I am able to read them and can even erase them and blank check says they are, but when I try to program them it gets to the same point each time and stops with I keep getting Error at 0X00*** Chip =0X07 Buffer = 0X18.
Always at the same point (38%). I tried a different chip but same data, and different data, still does it. Any ideas?
Peter

Well I've tried everything and still same problems!
Thank you for all your help Ezosat, But I have decided to buy a 4.5 and try that. Its designed for 48tsop's so hopefully it will work. It arrives tomorrow morning so I will keep my fingers crossed.

during write....
pin 37 reads 3.40v
pin 12 reads 4.36v without temp unprotect
pin 12 reads 12.65 with temp unprotect
pin 13 is jumpered to pin 12
pin 12 goes to a resistor.. not sure if this is 'pull up resistor'
the tracks run under the chip holder so i cant see where they go

I will read the voltages and track routes tonight and report back
Thank you for helping me with this, I am very grateful

Chips are all AT49LV1614 - 90TC.
It seems that file 'A' will always stop at the same point, when you try file 'b' it stops at a different point (0x081016 Chip = 0x43 buffer = 0xff)but it will always stop at the SAME point.
There are 2 diodes on the adaptor, I added another diode before these which reduced the vcc at the chip.

Ok, Here goes....
I put an 1N4148 in the vcc line. vcc went from 4.95v to 4.25.
got a new chip, cleaned legs (also cleaned socket)and Tried another write this time with 97g and it stopped with same error in same place. that was with and without temp unprotect.
I then read the chip and verified it 4 times... all OK.
Not sure where I go from here... any more ideas?

Sorry, forgot to say...
After an erase (which takes about 6 secs), ablank check shows it is blank. If you read it after an erase it is blank too. After a failed write attept, if you read it, it shows that something has been written to the chip.

Thanks for the reply
I have put a screen dump of the error on here so you can see what settings im using in the software
