Hi I bought a willem programmer PCB5.0 to burn a few M27C160 Chips

I have wiped the chip and confirmed there is no data before attempting to burn.

when I burn the chip I get the following message
error at 0x000AC1 chip = 0x3F buffer 0x1F

jumper on bottom A18 left power setting is connected on jumper 2&3 the 2 closest to the side of the board.

USB/POWER
The jumper connected to VDC

I have 40 & 42 pin adapter with a ribbon cable connected from CK A19 A22 A21 A20 P1 A19 A23 to the exact same pins on the adapter.

tried this method and I still got the failure.

I also tried the next with another converter which failed with jumpers connected A19 & A20 & A21

if anybody could tell me the correct configuration to set the burner up to complete the job I would greatly appreciate it. I only wanna burn a few 27C160's

thankyou

I only have a ribbon cable I don have individual jumpers. There is only enough space to place the 40 pin 27C160

I am using a 12 volt power supply and the jumpers are set to vpp and 12.5 volt but the chip keeps failing.

A pic of somebody setup would be great if possible,

Thanks

Thank you for your quick response, sorry I'm quite slow, I referred to how many pins it is necessary connect top burn/read a M27C322, all (CK A19 A22 A21 A20 P1 A19 A23)? or only A19 and A20?

Thanks again

Hi,

I also have a question about 27C322 pins CK A19 A22 A21 A20 P1 A19 A23, is it the same position than 27C160 to burn/read??

Thank you very much in advance

Hi,

I'm a newbie but according to this treat http://www.mcumall.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2484 only it's necessary to connect pins A19 and 20 and the power supply must be 12 or 9V not 5v from USB. As well as you need to check the position of the pins in the adapter to burn/read 27C160.

Saludos
