Greetings,
I have purchased these this week and need documentation on performing in-circuit SPI programming.

I'm attempting to program an ST M25P10-A installed in a camera module, with a VCC of 2.4 VDC. What do I select on the GQ-4X: the SPI chip, or the adapter? I assume I'll have to power the module separately, as 2.4 VDC is not available from the programmer.

The programmer does not detect the adapter. So, the adapter is transparent to programmer.

M25P10 is in the software device list.

Programming chip on programmer is a standard way to do. The in circuit programming only be another option. The programmer manufactuer do not do QA the programmer in that way.

ZLM - So, you're instructing to select the device (M25P10; -A is not available in the list) from GQ USB Programmer software GUI? The adapter is not seen by the programmer?

I have already programmed a chip directly from the programmer (with a VSSOP-8 DIP mounting adapter), so why would using the ADP-056 be different, if the programmer does not need to "see" the adapter. I really need to perform ICP, as removing the chip is not a satisfactory option.

Firstly, try to use ADP-056, do not connect the VCC pin (pin 8). VCC select to programmer.

In this case, the VCC of chip will get from the chip board.

Try to get the correct ID.

If you can not get correct ID, then the connection not succeed. You mat try to remove the chip the place on the programmer to read/write it.

Regards.
