No real importance, any wattage you have on hand will do fine.

This chip needs a 1.8V SPI adapter. The programmer ZIF socket provides a 3.6V VCC minimum.

You can make a one yourself.

See EZOFlash 1.8V SPI adapter:

I was thinking of making this adapter because I have a couple of 1.8v chips to program but looking at the pictures I am confused as to how this connects to the GQ-4X. I can see where the 8 pin SPI adapter plugs in (2 rows of 4 connectors) but it appears there is also another 8 pin connector which I assume is supposed to connect to the programmer but the GQ-4X has not such connector so if I make this 1.8v adapter, how do I connect it to the GQ-4X?

many thanks
Rog
