Your problem is different. The EPROM isn't programming. What programmer do you have, what is the complete part number from your EPROM? What is VPP set to? Have you verified that VPP is correct?

Dennis

This error means too many bits are being programmed in the EPROM. Changing programming timings is not likely to help.
0x8A = 0100 1010
0xAA = 1010 1010

The high nibble of the first address isn't being programmed correctly.

Do you get exactly the same error for all EPROMs?

HTH,
Dennis

It seems you need adjust the tWp and tWc parameter.
Increse those two parameters.
Also, try to select 27256 from the software instead of 27C256. This will give more tWp and tWc room for adjusting.

Also, try to write more than once if first write attempt failed.

Thanks for the help,
But iīve bought 10 and all of them pass the blank check sucessfully (2 separate suppliers).

The error is "Error at 0x000000 Chip=0x8A Buffer=0xAA"
Read all chips.

Please provide exact error message.
Also, the chip need to be erased and pass the blank check before write new data.
