 usb pic programmer board not responding

When i try to use my new usb pic programmer

it says board not responding, then it says will reset. Then this error comes up

Check your driver if loaded and assigned a comport number to it. Also, you have assigned this comport number in the software.

Try on another computer too.

I have the same problem and tried everything in the last post and it wont work. I tried several computers and different OS

You need to check the USB driver if loaded. If not, then have to reinstall the driver.
If the USB driver is loaded and assigned a vailid comport number, assign that comport number to the USB PIC software.
If everything OK but it still does not work(no response from programmer), then the programmer may be defective.
