Hi there,
this is my first post and I am a complete novice.
I bought an 'Enhance Willem Programmer' from eBay and a EPROM 16 Bit adapter from
I am trying to program a 27C400 but I don't how to connect the adapter correctly. It came with a cable (see 2nd link). Do I need to connect this cable to be able to program the 27C400? Where do I insert the EPROM? It's all very confusing. No instruction were giving to me.
So far I had no luck in reading a 27C400. I set the jumpers accordingly.
I am using Willem EPROM (97ja) program.
I hope someone here can help me.
TIA

*****EDIT******** I need help with this as well!!

I have basically the same setup as you, my willem is a bit different but I have the same exact 16 bit adapter.
I have a dual powered version and needed a 16 bit adapter for mine, so the jumper cable hooks up exactly as shown for mine.
I believe mine was a 3.1 board revision?

The 27C400 should put in 42 pin socket and with bottom aligned. The cable is not reqired since there are enough address lines for this chip already. Anyway, connect the cable will not make anything bad.
